영문 초록

The scholars internationally have noted the world maps in Chines of Father Matteo Ricci from the very beginning as those maps were the results of the early interactions between east and west. Studies have shown that Matteo Ricci composed six editions of the maps, the 1584 edition composed in Zhaoqing肇慶, the 1596 edition in Nanchang 南昌, the 1600 eidtion in Nanjing 南京, the 1602 eidtion, the 1603 edition and the 1604-1606 edition in Beijing北京, Of those editions, only a few of the woodblock prints of the 1602 edition named Kunyuwanguoquantu坤輿萬國全圖 and the 1603 edition named Liangyixuanlantu雨儀玄覽圖 survived to the present. In this article, I have cleared how the 1602 edition and the 1603 edition found their way to Korea, and their situation now in Korea. Moreover, a detailed comparison of the two copies of Liangyixuanlantu now in China and Korea has beendescribed in this article, which indicates that academic information is so important in our research work.
