국문 초록

본 연구는 이민 여성이 병원 기반의 출산 및 양육 준비 프로그램에 참여하면서 인식한 임신, 출산 및 양육 준비에 대한 경험을 심층적으로 분석하여 이민 여성 맞춤형 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 출산 및 양육 준비 프로그램에 참여한 12명의 이민 여성과 함께 프로그램 참여 전, 참여 과정 및 참여 후에 시각적 자료를 수집하였고 이에 대한 초점집단인터뷰를 총 4회 실시한 내용에 대하여 주제분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 5개의 상위 범주와 14개의 하위범주 주제들이 도출되었다. 상위 주제는 ‘임신과 출산이 주는 행복’, ‘출산과 양육에 대한 불안 공존’, ‘교육 참여하면서 엄마 준비하기’, ‘교육을 통한 좋은 변화와 자원’, ‘자녀의 미래를 향한 마음’이었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 이민 여성의 임신, 출산 및 양육 준비 과정을 돕는 효과적인 실천을 위한 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was conducted to provide an in-depth analysis of immigrant women's perceived experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting preparation while participating in a hospital-based childbirth and parenting preparation program to inform the development of a program tailored to immigrant women. For this purpose, visual materials were collected before, during, and after program participation with 12 immigrant women who attended childbirth and parenting preparation programs, and a total of four focus group interviews were conducted. Thematic analysis yielded five main categories and 14 subcategories. The main categories included ‘the joy of pregnancy and childbirth’, ‘coexisting anxiety about childbirth and parenting’, ‘preparing for motherhood while participating in education’, ‘positive changes and resources gained through Education’, and ‘heart for the future of children’. Based on these findings, implications are presented for effective practices to support immigrant women in preparing for pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
