북한이탈주민의 진로에 관한 질적 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 북한이탈주민의 진로에 관한 질적연구의 동향을 분석하여 살피고 향후 연구에 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 국내의 연구 데이터베이스 한국학술정보원(KISS), 국회전자도서관에서‘북한이탈주민’,‘새터민’과 ‘진로’,‘직업’을 키워드로 하여 교차 검색하였고, 총 20편의 질적연구 논문을 선정하여 분석틀을 마련하였다. 기초사항(연구출처와 연도별 논문 수, 연구참여자의 일반적 특성, 연구자 영역), 질적연구 방법별 설계 현황, 질적연구 내용 분석을 하였다. 결과 요약은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연도별 분석에서는 간헐적이지만 북한이탈주민의 진로에 관한 질적연구물의 출판이 꾸준히 이루어지고 있었다. 둘째, 질적연구 방법별 분석결과에서는 질적연구 방법 근거이론을 가장 많이 활용하였고, 연구자의 전공은 교육학이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 셋째, 초기의 연구는 적응, 직업, 대학생과 같은 주제의 빈도가 높았으나 최근에는‘자녀’,‘제3국 출생’,‘정체성에’ 관한 키워드가 등장하면서 북한이탈주민의 진로에 대한 주제가 단순한 취업이상을 넘어서 점차 각 개인의 진로의 경험과 의미를 중요시하는 진로 주제의 다양성을 보이기 시작하였다. 또한, 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 북한이탈주민 관련 진로의 질적 연구 확대와 후속 연구에 대해 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends in qualitative research on the career paths of North Korean defectors, examine them, and provide implications for future research. A cross-search was conducted in domestic research databases, including the Korea Studies Information Service System (KISS) and the National Assembly Library, using the keywords "North Korean defectors," "settlers," "career," and "occupation." A total of 20 qualitative research papers were selected, and a framework for analysis was established. The analysis included basic information (such as research sources, the number of papers by year, general characteristics of research participants, and researcher disciplines), the design status of qualitative research methods, and the content of the studies. The summary of the results is as follows: first, Yearly Analysis: Although intermittent, the publication of qualitative research on the career paths of North Korean defectors has been steadily ongoing. Second, Analysis by Qualitative Research Methods: Grounded theory was the most commonly used qualitative research method, and the majority of the researchers specialized in education. Thirdly, the change in topics indicates that the themes related to the career paths of North Korean defectors have shifted from simple employment to a broader focus, emphasizing individual career experiences and the meanings attached to them. Based on the results of this study, implications for expanding qualitative research on the career paths of North Korean defectors and suggestions for future research were provided.
