포스트휴먼 사회관계망의 독특성 탐구: 영화 <고양이들의 아파트>에 드러난 인간-고양이 마을의 SF 만들기

국문 초록

본 논문은 불확실성이 증폭되는 뉴노멀 시대에 우리 사회가 구축해야 할 사회자본 모델을 구안하고자 우리 생활세계 속에서 포스트휴먼 사회자본의 사례를 살펴보고, 우리에게 필요한 사회관계망을 탐색하려는 목적의 장기적이고 순환적인 연구의 두 번째 연구 성과이다. 본 연구는 포스트휴먼 사회관계망의 탈인간중심의 혼종적인 성격에 주목하여 그 실제로서 다큐멘터리 영화 <고양이들의 아파트>에 그려진 인간-고양이 내러티브를 분석하고 포스트휴먼적 사회관계망으로서의 그 독특성을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 영화에 드러난 인간-고양이의 관계망을 분석하고, 해러웨이이 SF만들기와 실뜨기에 착안하여 영화에 다 드러나지 않은 인간과 고양이들의 내러티브를 재구성하였다. 연구결과, 영화의 인간-고양이 마을의 내러티브는 ‘인간과 고양이 모두의 마을’, ‘머물고 싶어하는 고양이들의 이주를 위한 인간의 노력’, ‘고양이에 대한 모성과 이웃이라는 두가지 시선’으로 재구성되었다. 또한 인간-고양이 마을에 드러난 포스트휴먼 사회관계망 독특성은 다음과 같이 이해하였다. 첫째, 인간-비인간이 공생하는 소셜스트러킹으로의 혼종의 사회관계망 둘째, 인간의 ‘고양이-되기’와 고양이를 ‘인간-되기’로 만들기의 되기의 힘 겨루기 셋째, 인간-고양이의 연결 속에 드러난 비인간의 행위주체성이라는 친척 만들기이다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 우리의 사회관계망이 이미 항상 인간과 비인간의 복합체이며, 혼종적인 자연문화적 생성의 운동임을 드러내었다. 또한 이러한 포스트휴먼적 사회관계망은 우리가 새롭게 구축해야 할 어떤 것이 아니라, 비인간들의 요청에 대한 책임있는 응답을 통해 비로소 드러나는 것이며, 종과 종의 경계를 넘어 구현된 공발생적인 관계맺음을 발견함으로써 뉴노멀 시대에 우리에게 요청되는 사회관계망 및 사회자본의 독특에 대한 이해에 한걸음 다가갈 수 있었다. In this paper, in order to devise a model for social capital that our society should build in the new normal era full of uncertainty, I look at actual cases of post-human social capital in our daily life and discover the uniqueness of the social network we need. This is the second research result of a long-term, cyclical five-year study. This study focused on the posthuman-centered, hybrid nature of the posthuman social network, analyzed the human-cat narrative depicted in the documentary film < Cats' Apartment >, and considered its uniqueness as a posthuman social network. To this end, this study analyzed the human-cat relationship network revealed in the film, and reconstructed the narrative of humans and cats that were not fully revealed in the film, focusing on Haraway's SF making and weaving. As a result of the study, the narrative of the human-cat village in the film was reconstructed into 'a village of both humans and cats', 'human efforts to migrate cats who want to stay', and 'two views of motherhood and neighbors toward cats'. In addition, the characteristics of the posthuman social network revealed in the human-cat village are as follows. First, a hybrid social network through social strucking in which humans and non-humans coexist. Second, a competition between human 'becoming-cats' and the power of becoming by making cats 'become-human'. Third, the making of kinship, the subjectivity of non-humans revealed in the human-cat connection. Thus, this study revealed that our social network is already always a complex of human and non-human, and a movement of hybrid natural and cultural creation. In addition, this post-human social network is not something we have to newly build from scratch, but is only revealed through responsible responses to the requests of non-humans. I was able to take a step closer to understanding the uniqueness of social network and social capital required of us in the normal era.
