은유분석을 활용한 유아평가와 누리과정 운영평가에 대한 유아교사의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아평가와 누리과정 운영평가에 대한 유아교사의 인식을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 은유분석을 연구방법으로 활용하였다. 연구참여자는 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하 고 있는 3~5세 연령의 담임교사 130명이다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 유아평가의 인식에서 평가의 역할은 ‘유아가 행복하기 위한 기초토대’이며 ‘유아의 놀이지원’이라고 나타났다. 평가의 실행 과정에서 유아평가는 ‘유아의 개별적 발달 특성 이해과정’과 ‘유아의 성장 및 변화 기록과정’으 로 인식되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 평가의 어려움에서는 ‘교사 평가실행력 발현의 난점’과 ‘교사 의 평가방법 이해 부족’으로 유목화되었다. 둘째, 누리과정 운영평가의 인식에서 평가의 역할 은 ‘누리과정 운영의 개선과 환류’와 ‘유아 배움의 발견’이 있었다. 평가의 실행과정에서는 ‘교 사 전문성 향상과 자기성찰의 과정’과 ‘평가공동체를 구성해가는 과정’으로 나타났다. 평가의 어려움은 ‘이상과 현실의 괴리인 평가’와 ‘평가 다양성 표현의 한계’로 유목화되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 평가라는 다소 추상적인 개념을 은유분석에 기반하여 유아교사의 인식에 함축된 의미를 도출함으로써 유아교육과정 개선을 위한 평가의 방향성 제안에 기초자료가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine early childhood teachers’ perceptions of assessment and the evaluation of Nuri curriculum operation. Utilizing metaphor analysis as the research method, this study involved 130 homeroom teachers of children aged 3 to 5 from kindergartens and daycare centers. The results of the study are as follows: First, in the perception of early childhood assessment, teachers view early childhood assessment as ‘foundational to young children’s happiness’ and as a means of supporting play’. In the process of implementing the evaluation, early childhood assessment is recognized as ‘the process of understanding the individual developmental characteristics of young children’ and ‘the process of recording young children’s growth and changes.’ Challenges in assessment include difficulties in demonstrating evaluation skills and a lack of understanding of evaluation methods. Second, in the perception of Nuri curriculum operation evaluation, teachers perceive its role as enhancing curriculum implementation and discovering children’s learning. In the process of implementing the evaluation, it was recognized as ‘the process of improving teachers’ professionalism and selfꠓreflection’ and ‘the process of forming an evaluation community.’ However, challenges include a disparity between ideal and practical evalutoin and limitaions of diverstiy expression in evaluation. These research results serve as basic data for suggesting the direction of evaluation for improving the early childhood education curriculum by deriving the meaning implied in the perception of early childhood teachers based on metaphor analysis.
