국문 초록

본 논문에서는 줄어드는 인구 대비 늘어가는 특수교육대상자에 대한 현상을 4차 산업혁명의 기술이라는 환원주의적 관점에서 살펴보고 이를 Christakis의 과잉자극 가설을 활용하여 사회적 현상을 바라보려고 한다. 이를 위해 우선 인구구조의 변화와 4차 산업혁명 그리고 장애의 관계를 살펴보고, 4차 산업혁명의 기술로 인해 변화되고 있는 매체 및 기술에 따른 결과를 살펴봄으로써 특수교육대상자에 대한 현상을 설명하고자 하였다. 또한 과잉자극으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 문제들을 돌아본 후 이를 기반으로 4차 산업혁명 시대의 특수교육적 방향을 기술적인 부분에서 논의하였다. 이에 본 논문을 통해 4차 산업혁명으로 인해 변화되고 있는 아동들의 상황을 이해하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study explores the phenomenon of the increasing number of students with special needs in South Korea been experiencing population decline for decades through the reductionism perspective of the technology effects in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and explores this social phenomenon based in Christakis’ overstimulation hypothesis. With those critical views, this paper starts with examining the relational dynamics among three aspects: changes of population structure in South Korea, technology of the 4th industrial revolution, and disability and then, it argues the effects of media and technology on the phenomenon of the increasing number of students with speical needs. In addition, this paper also presents the problems that may arise due to overstimulation by the media and technology and discusses the directions of using technology for speical education in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. In that it sees technology as a factor changing the landscape of special education, this study contributes to understanding the phenomenon of the increasing number of students with special needs in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and in turn, understanding the potential impact of technology on children in the technology-driven society.
