국문 초록

본 연구는 어린 시절 성폭행경험과 부모로부터 사랑을 경험해보지 못한 우울증 어머니가 부정적인 자녀양육행동을 나타내어 그로 인해 구강기 고착된 문제행동을 보이는 아동을 대상으로 모래놀이치료를 실시한 사례이다. 아동은 상담자가 제공한 모래상자라는 안정되고 보호된 공간 속에서 상담자와의 깊은 신뢰를 토대로 막혀있었던 자신의 내적 욕구를 마음껏 표현하며 부정적 감정들을 표출해냈다. 투쟁과 정화의 과정을 통해 부정적인 자기상을 극복하면서 아동의 불안과 문제행동은 사라졌으며, 여성성의 자아를 형성해가는 창조의 모습을 보이고 있다. 이는 모래상자를 통한 상징적 체험활동을 통해 자기치유력을 발휘하면서 본래 자기의 모습인 자아의 발달을 이루어가는 모래놀이치료의 치료적 의미를 보여주는 사례이다.

영문 초록

This study presents a case of sand play therapy for a seven-year-old girl who shows unsocial behavior problems like oral fixation symptoms. Since her mother remains under depression, the girl appears not to have established an stable attachment with the mother. Under circumstances, she looked passively shy and tried to bite everything around her. Moreover, she appeared very unsocial and difficulty in having relation with her peers. The case has 20 sand play sessions from Jun. 2006 to Nov. 2006. In sand play, the girl was provided with a safe and protected sand tray; she could freely express her anxiety, suppressed desire, and other negative feelings through symbolic activities and experienced a great deal of support and understanding. Through a series of sand play, the girl has become free of emotional fear, overcome traumatic experiences, and established an ego of herself. Consequently, her habitual bite disappears and she becomes active and pro-social in peer interaction. This study shows the importance of positive relations with parents during early childhood and the therapeutic meaning of sand play therapy through the case of a unsocial girl having a depressive mother with traumas resulting from lack of affection and rape in childhood.
