국문 초록

미얀마 정부는 농촌 빈곤 지역에 소액금융지원을 통해 생활환경 개선과 소득증대를 목적으로 소액금융협동조합(Cooperative Micro- finance Loan, CML) 프로그램을 시행하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 미얀마 소액금융협동조합이 농촌의 소득과 생활환경 개선에 미친 효과와 소액금융협동조합 만족에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하고자 한다. 지역주민을 대상으로 설문을 통하여 분석자료를 수집하였으며, 분석의 내용은 지역주민의 생활환경 개선의 정도, 저축습관의 향상과 프로그램의 만족도를 포함한다. 분석은 SPSS 20을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, 회귀분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과 소액금융협동조합 프로그램은 사업의 시행 전후 주민의 생활환경 개선, 소득증대, 저축습관의 향상에 있어 유의미한 긍정적인 차이를 보이고 있다. 또한, 대출의 총액, 기간 그리고 생활환경의 개선 효과는 소액금융협동조합 프로그램의 만족 요인으로 분석되었다. 따라서 미얀마의 소액금융협동조합 프로그램은 효과적으로 주민의 생활환경을 개선하였으며, 정부의 빈곤 극복을 위한 농촌개발전략으로 작동되고 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The Myanmar government is implementing the Cooperative Micro-finance Loan (CML) program to improve living conditions and increase income through microfinance support in rural poor areas. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of Myanmar microfinance cooperatives on improving rural income and living environment and the influencing factors on the satisfaction of microfinance cooperatives. Both primary and secondary data are used and analyzed to interpret the enhancement of the CML program on the livelihood of members and the promotion of saving habit throughout the loan period by Descriptive statistics, Paired Sample t-Test, Chi-Square Test, and Regression analysis through the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). As a result, CML showed significant positive changes before and after using CML in the livelihood improvement, income increase and saving habits of the farmers. The total amount of the loan, duration of CML and livelihood improvement through CML was analyzed as factors influencing CML satisfaction. The CML program has effectively enhanced the livelihoods of the community members and played a crucial role in government strategies of rural development and poverty alleviation across the nation-wide.
