공립유치원 임용시험 준비과정에서의 경험과 개선 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 공립유치원 임용시험을 준비하여 합격한 유치원교사를 대상으로 임용시험을 준비하는 과정에서의 경험이 가진 의미를 밝히고 이에 따른 개선의 요구를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 현 임용시험 체제에서 합격한 공립유치원 교사 14명을 편의표집하여 반구조화된 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과 연구참여자들은 시험 준비의 효율과 효과를 위해 학원 강의 수강, 스터디 모임, 개별 학습을 했으며 각각의 경험은 공부의 방향과 전략 모색, 정보 공유와 정서적 지지, 학습 효과 향상과 유아교육에 대한 가치관 형성 등 각기 상이한 의미가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연구참여자들의 경험에 근거하여 국가 및 지자체 수준에서는 교사의 교육관과 인성, 자질을 평가하는 시험체제로의 변화와 평가의 객관성 확보를, 그리고 교원양성기관 수준에서는 임용시험 준비의 길잡이 역할과 정서적 지원을 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 향후 공립유치원 임용시험 체제의 개선 방향과 임용시험 준비생들을 위한 사회적 지원 방안들에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze public kindergarten teachers’ exam preparation experiences for the public Kindergarten recruitment test and to investigate their requests for the system’s improvement. To this end, 14 public kindergarten teachers who passed the current employment examination system were participated in semi-structured interviews. The results showed that the participants took part in lecture classes at private educational institutes, study groups, and individualized learning in order to ensure the effectiveness of their test preparation. Each experience showed different meanings, such as seeking directions and strategies for learning, sharing information, emotional support, improving learning effects, and forming values ​​for early childhood education. In addition, participants requested for some important changes of current test system, including evaluating teachers’ educational viewpoints, personality, and qualities at the national and local levels and the objectivity of the evaluation. They also emphasized the important role of teacher preparation programs that provides the candidates with emotional supports. Based on these findings, the future direction of the public kindergarten recruitment examination system and the social support plans for the candidates were discussed.
