국문 초록

본 연구는 고교학점제 연구․선도학교의 담당 부장교사의 이야기를 분석하여 고등학교의 학교 문화, 교사의 업무 변화, 나아가 학생의 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 고등학교 내 학교문화는 크게 변하지 않았으며, 그 이유는 대입에 있었다. 그러나 일부 교사들의 변화 움직임이 나타나기 시작하였다. 둘째, 고교학점제와 관련하여 교사가 담당해야 할 업무는 양적으로나 질적으로 변화가 있었다. 더욱이 교육부에서 권고하는 수강신청 프로그램은 사용에 불편함이 많아 모든 교사들이 사설 프로그램을 쓰고 있는 등 고교학점제를 안착시키기 위해서는 제반 환경 및 시설, 제도 개선 등 시급히 해결해야 할 과제들이 많이 있다. 셋째, 고교학점제 연구․선도학교에 재학 중인 학생은 새로운 경험을 하고 있다. 직접 수업을 선택하고 수강하는 일련의 과정에서 학습자는 존중받고 있었다. 본인이 선택한 수업이기에 이전 보다 수업 집중도도 높아짐을 교사들도 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 학생들은 여전히 ‘수능’을 생각할 수밖에 없는 환경에서 수업 선택에 제약을 받는 것도 사실이다. 본 연구결과로 비추어 보건대, 다학년 다교과를 맡을 수 있는 교원 양성이 시급하다. 교원양성 과정에서 복수전공 활성화 노력이 필요하며, 기존 교사를 위한 부전공 연수기회도 확대해야 할 것이다. 필요한 교과의 교사가 제 때 수급되지 못하고 있어 폐강을 하거나 수업의 질 저하가 우려되고 있어 교원 배치 제도, 외부강사 활용 방안 등이 시급히 강구되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to examine the culture of high school, the work change of teachers, and the change of students by analyzing the stories of the teachers in charge of high school credit system. The results are as follows. First of all, the school culture in high school did not change much, and the reason was the college entrance exam. However, some teachers have begun to show signs of change. Second, the work that teachers have to take on in relation to the high school credit system has changed in quantity and quality. Moreover, the application program recommended by the Ministry of Education is inconvenient, so all teachers are using private programs. There are many urgent tasks such as improving the environment, facilities and system to settle the high school credit system. Third, students attending a high school implemented the credit system is having a new experience. The learners were respected in the course of choosing and taking classes in person. Teachers were also aware that students were more focused on the class than before because it was their own choice. It is also true, however, that students are restricted from choosing classes because they have to think about the CSAT. Given the results of this study, it is urgent to nurture teachers who can take charge of multi-grades and multidisciplinary teaching. Efforts will be needed to promote multiple majors in the course of fostering teachers, and second major training opportunities for existing teachers will also have to be expanded. As teachers in the required classes are not available on time, there are concerns over the possibility of the closure of classes or the deterioration of the quality of classes, the system for the placement of teachers and ways to utilize outside lecturers is urgently needed.
