영문 초록

The results were as following； 1) Rohrer index was highest in the rural female students and lowest in the urban male ones. 2) Kaup index was highest in the rural female students and lowest in the Urban female ones. 3) Rohrer index was generally higher than that of 10 years ago in males but Kaup index showed no interval change in both sexes. 4) Body ego scale was higher in urban males, and lower in urban females than that of other groups. 5) At the age groups of 14， 15 and 16 in male students, the interrelationship of physical fitness tests with body ego scale, and Rohrer and Kaup indices were significant. 6) The interrelationship of physical fitness tests with body ego scale, and RQhrer and Kaup indices were not significant in female students. 7) The body ego scale was intimately correlated with Rohrer and Kaup indices, especially more with the Kaup index. 8) Males had the best sense on their evaluation of physical health at the age of 15 and females at the age of 17. In general, the Korean middle and high school students of both sexes, especially females did not correlate their physical health with their physical structure and fitness tests adequately.
