국문 초록

골다공증은 저에너지 외상에 의한 골절에 대한 취약성이 증가하는 전신 골격 관련 질환으로, 최근 우리나라 평균 연령의 증가에 따라 매우 중요한 공중보건 문제 대두되고 있다. 골다공증 치료는 지속적으로 발전해 왔으며 질환의 병태생리와 관련된 다양한 기전이 밝혀지고 있다. 이러한 기전을 반영하여 기존 치료의 효과를 보완하고 향상시키기 위한 적절하고 효과적인 영양 치료에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되어 왔으며, 임상적 적용 가능성에 대한 근거가 축적되고 있다. 본 종설에서는 골다공증 환자에서의 칼슘, 비타민 D, 비타민 K2, 단백질, 마그네슘 등의 기능의학적 역할과 임상적 함의에 대하여 고찰하였다.

영문 초록

Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disease characterized by increased vulnerability to low-energy fractures, and has recently become a significant public health concern due to the rising average age in Korea. Advances in osteoporosis treatment have led to the identification of various mechanisms underlying its etiology. In line with these findings, numerous studies have investigated nutritional supplementation as a means to enhance the effectiveness of existing treatment. This review examines the effects and evidence-based benefits of vitamin D, calcium, vitamin K, protein and magnesium in patients with osteoporosis.
