국문 초록

이 연구는 심리운동 활동이 성인 발달장애인 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육 부담감과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 성인 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모들은 여러 가지 어려움을 경험하게 되고 이로 인해 부모들이 느끼는 양육에 대한 부담과 삶의 만족에 도움 되고자 심리운동 활동을 중재하였다. 이 연구는 A 광역시 B 특수체육센터를 이용하는 성인 발달장애인 자녀를 둔 부모 20명을 대상으로 실험집단 10명과 통제집단 10명을 선정하였다. 연구기간 동안 활동 중재를 회기당 50분씩, 일주일에 2번, 6주간 총 12회기를 실시하였으며, 양육 부담감과 삶의 만족도 척도를 사전검사와 사후검사로 실시하였다. 연구결과 심리운동이 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육 부담감을 감소시키는 것을 알 수 있었고, 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 삶의 만족도를 향상시키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 심리운동 활동이 성인 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육부담감과 삶의 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 변화를 토대로 성인 발달장애인 자녀를 둔 부모들의 지속적인 관심과 심리운동 프로그램 개발이 지속적으로 이루어지기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to examine the effect of psychomotorik activities on parenting burden and life satisfaction among parents with adult children with developmental disabilities. Parents of adult children with developmental disabilities often face various difficulties, and to help reduce the burden of parenting and improve life satisfaction, psychomotorik activities were used as an intervention. The subjects of this study were 20 parents of adult children with developmental disabilities attending a special physical education center in a metropolitan city (referred to as ‘City A’). The participants were divided into an experimental group (n=10) and a control group (n=10). The intervention program consisted of 12 sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, conducted twice a week for 6 weeks. Parenting burden and life satisfaction were assessed using pre- and post-tests. The results of this study showed that psychomotorik activities effectively reduced the parenting burden and enhanced the life satisfaction of parents. In conclusion, psychomotorik activities had a positive impact on the parenting burden and life satisfaction of parents with adult children with developmental disabilities. Based on these findings, it is expected that there will be continued interest in the well-being of parents of adult children with developmental disabilities and that further development of psychomotorik programs will continue.
