국문 초록

민간경비원의 활동은 불확실한 상황이 연속으로 수행되어 개인의 성과를 위해서는 스스로 자아통제를 하거나 스트레스를 극복하는 능력이 필요하다. 그러나 관계자들은 경력이 쌓이면 자연스럽게 극복할 수 있다는 가정을 두지만 안전과 범죄예방이라는 명분에서는 기본적 특성을 간과할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자아통제와 스트레스 극복 능력과 관련된 자아탄력성과 소진을 민간경비원의 경력에 따라 어떤 관련성이 있는지를 규명하였으며, 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 민간경비원의 경력에 따라 자아탄력성의 효율감과 소진의 신체적 탈진에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며 경력이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 민간경비원의 경력에 따라 자아탄력성과 소진과의 관계에서 경력은 자아탄력성과 소진에 직접적인 영향을 주지 못하지만 자아탄력성이 소진에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 민간경비원의 자아통제와 스트레스 극복 능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 경력의 중요성 보다 민간경비원의 자아탄력성을 높여줄 수 있는 훈련 프로그램을 제공하는 것이 중요하다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

The conclusion derived in this research is as follows. First, the longer the service career of private security guards was, the more the efficacy of ego resiliency and burnout of them increased. In other words, the conclusion that the private security guards who had long service career had good relationships with the people they met internally (within the company) and externally (on actual spots), but their physical stress became higher due to the responsibility according to their service career was obtained. Second, in the relationship between ego resiliency and burnout according to the service career, it was found that the service career had no overall relationship with ego resiliency and burnout. But the conclusion that, since ego resiliency showed negative relationship with burnout, the private security guards with higher service career had lower burnout was obtained. The final conclusion was that, rather than the service career of private security guards acts as factors for solving job stress, it has high relationship with ego resiliency, so it is important to explore the ways to enhance the ego resiliency of the private security guards.
