국문 초록

We develop methods to compute defining equations of plane models of the modular curves X1(N). For hyperelliptic X1(N), we follow Galbraith’s approach of identifying generators of the function field and deriving their algebraic relations. For nonhyperelliptic X1(N), we project the canonical embedding onto the projective plane via three weight 2 cuspforms.
