국문 초록

This study investigates the structural evolution of Korea-Canada trade relations a decade after the Korea-Canada Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA). Utilizing bilateral trade statistics, Harmonized System (HS) code analysis, and OECD’s Trade in Value Added (TiVA) data, the analysis highlights a shift in trade volume, sectoral asymmetries, and growing interdependence. Korea’s exports are increasingly concentrated in finished goods—automobiles, EV components, electronics—while Canadian exports supply critical intermediate inputs such as coal, copper, and nickel. A descriptive analysis of bilateral trade patterns is presented alongside estimates of Canadian value-added content in Korean exports. The findings support policy recommendations for enhanced supply chain governance, data integration, and clean technology collaboration through multilateral platforms such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
