한국과 일본 시모노세키항의 수출입 품목 변화분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 일본 시모노세키항의 대한국 수출입액의 변화와 이를 좌우하는 품목의 변화를 계량 분석을 통해 규명하려는 것이다. 분석을 위한 자료는 일본 재무성 무역통계이며, 회귀분석을 통해 수출입 변화에 영향을 미치는 품목을 규명하였다. 연구를 통해 도출한 결과는 첫째, 시모노세키항은 동북아 지역을 중심으로 무역이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며, 2023년 수출입 규모의 절반 정도의 규모로 나타났다. 둘째, 대한국 수입액은 감소를 계속하고 있다는 것이다. 셋째, 대한국 수출입의 컨테이너 개수와 화물량의 변화에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대한국 수출입에 차지하는 품목의 비중에는 변함이 없었다. 시모노세키항과 한국의 수출입 품목에 기계류 및 운송용 기기의 차지하는 비중이 높아, 양국 간의 중간재 무역이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다는 것을 반영하였다. 다섯째, 대한국 수입에서 식료품 및 원재료 비중이 높아 한국에서의 해산물 수입 의존도가 높게 나타났다. 여섯째, 시모노세키항은 지리적으로 한국과 중국의 무역이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며 부품 소재나 제조 장치의 수출입을 통해 국제 분업체제의 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 이는 공정 간 분업 구조의 기능을 하고 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes in the export and import volumes between Japan’s Shimonoseki Port and Korea, and to analyze the variations in key trade items through quantitative methods. The data used for the analysis is from Japan’s Ministry of Finance Trade Statistics, and a regression analysis was conducted to identify the items that impact changes in exports and imports. The results of the study are as follows: First, Shimonoseki Port is a hub for active trade in the Northeast Asian region, with trade volume reaching about half of its total export-import volume in 2023. Second, Korea’s import volume from Shimonoseki Port continues to decline. Third, there is a notable difference in the changes between the number of containers and cargo volume in Korea-Japan trade. Fourth, the proportion of key items in Korea-Japan trade remained unchanged. Machinery and transportation equipment account for a significant portion of the export and import items between Shimonoseki Port and Korea, reflecting the active intermediate goods trade between the two countries. Fifth, food products and raw materials hold a large share of Korea's imports from Shimonoseki Port, indicating a high dependency on seafood imports from Japan. Sixth, Shimonoseki Port plays an important role in the international division of labor by being geographically positioned for active trade with Korea and China, and through the export and import of components and manufacturing equipment. This can be seen as functioning in the structure of the division of labor between processes.
