Information welfare rapidly emerges as an important factor in the field of adolescent and child welfare. However, it has rarely been touched upon by in the scholarly community of the field. In this context this study is to encourage research in information welfare from various perspectives. To achieve the goal, it reviews research trends in an influence of Internet pornography on adolescents which is an important part of information welfare. The main findings are as follows: (a) 60-70% of adolescents are exposed to Internet pornography; (b) they are exposed to porn for the first time at the elementary or middle school age; and (c) such an experience has a substantial influence on the adolescents' attitude towards sex and sexual behavior. This study also finds that the major research method employed is a survey method and that research articles reviewed here do not develop a theoretical framework or model explaining the adolescents' attitude and behavior in consumption of Internet pornography in the field. Based on the research results, this paper makes recommendations as follows: (a) Ethnography and experimental research method may be useful for the in-depth analysis of the phenomena; (b) interdisciplinary approaches to information welfare will be beneficial because research in the adolescents' use of Internet porn requires broad knowledge and various perspectives; and (c) a theoretical model or framework explaining the relationship between the adolescents and Internet pornography should be developed from perspectives on information welfare.
