국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 아동기 외상이 폭식에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 신체수치심의 매개효과와 성별에 따른 다집단 분석을 검증하고자 하였다. 전국의 314명으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조 방정식 모형을 적용하였으며, 다집단 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동기 외상은 폭식 및 신체수치심과 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 대학생의 아동기 외상과 폭식간의 관계에서 신체수치심이 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성별에 따라 매개모형 경로의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 아동기 외상이 폭식에 미치는 영향이 남성보다 여성에서 유의하게 큰 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 폭식을 설명하는 데 있어 여성이 남성보다 아동기 외상의 영향에 취약함이 밝혀진 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다. 본 연구의 아동기 외상을 경험한 대학생의 폭식에 대한 이해를 높이고 이들에 대한 예방 및 치료적 개입에서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the mediating effects of body shame on the relationship between childhood trauma and binge eating and multi-group analysis across gender in college students. In doing so data were collected and on and off line survey, and 314 college students completed survey, and data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, childhood trauma was significantly correlated with binge eating and body shame. Second, body shame had significant mediating effect in the relationship between childhood trauma and binge eating. Third, multi-group analysis showed that there was significant effect of gender differences in path that body shame to binge eating had greater effect in female than male. These finding suggested effect of childhood trauma on binge eating was greater among female than male. Through an understanding of these results, we tried to understanding of college student’s binge eating and applied to their prevention and intervention.
