‘경주유람’가류 가사작품의 전승양상과 작품세계

국문 초록

이 논문은 기존의 경주유람가류 시가작품의 전승을 살피고,그중에서도 1960년대에 경주를 배경으로 한 가사작품 3편과 새로 발굴된 만재(晩齋) 주원택(朱元澤)의<경주유람>의 내용을 분석하였다.중요한 점은<경주유람가>,<유람기록가>,<경주괄남긔>3작품은 모두 여성 작품인 것에 반해,<경주유람>은 남성 작품이기 때문에 그 성격이 완전히 다른 모습을 보인다는 것이다. 기존의 작품들은 자신과 처지가 비슷한 친구들과 함께 여행을 떠나게 되었음을 행복해하며 놀음과 유흥을 중점으로 두고 노래하였다.심지어 관광버스 내에서도 이동하는 동안 술을 마시며 노래를 부르기도 했다.1960년대 경제가 발전하고 버스나 택시와 같은 대중교통이 활성화되기 시작하면서 이를 신기하게 바라보는 여인의 시선도 포함되어 있다.그러나 주원택의<경주유람>에서는 즐기는 모습보다는 유적지에관한 역사적 사실을 토대로 본인의 지식을 곁들여 신라의 위대함을 예찬하고 있다.작품 속에서 관광 안내자가 설명하는 내용도 대강대강 들었다는 것을 보아 정해진 코스와 부가 설명을 듣는 것보다는 본인의 지식을 바탕으로 문화유적에 대한 평을 내리는표현방식을 선호했다.또한 다른 규방가사 작품들은 1박~2박 정도의 긴 여행을 하는것에 반해 주원택은 당일치기 여행에 그것도 심지어 정오가 다 돼서 도착하는 바람에점심식사를 마저 하고 나서야 경주 관광을 시작했을 만큼 짧은 시간을 여행하였다.그렇지만 최대한 많은 유적지를 보고 자신이 생각한 점을 표현하거나 청운교와 백운교에 대해서도 높은 평가를 내리기도 했다.이는 다른 경주유람가류 가사작품에 비해 비교적 짧은 여정임에도 최대한 많은 유적을 보고 느낀 점을 기록하려는 그의 자세를 엿볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study examines the transmission of existing Gyeongjuyuramga-style poetry works and analyzes three lyrics set in Gyeongju in the 1960s and the newly discovered work of Manjae (晩齋) Joo Won-taek (朱元澤). The important point is that while all three pieces of work, “Gyeongjuyuramga”, “Yuramgirockga,” and “Gyeongjugwalnamgwe” are based on women, “Gyeongjuyuram” shows a completely different character because they are based on men. Existing works show that he was happy to go on trips with friends who were similar and sang with an emphasis on play and entertainment. He drank and sang even on the tour bus. These works also include women’s interesting views on developing the economy in the 1960s and activating public transportation such as buses and taxis. Joo Won-taek’s “Gyeongjuyuram” focuses on praising Silla’s greatness with his knowledge based on historical facts about historical sites rather than “enjoying” the trip. From the fact that he roughly listened to the tour guide’s explanation in the work, it can be seen that he preferred an expression method for evaluating cultural relics based on his knowledge, rather than listening to a set course and additional explanations. Moreover, while other pieces of work, Gyubanggasa, describe the long journey of one to two days, Joo Won-taek traveled a sufficiently short time enough to start sightseeing in Gyeongju after finishing lunch because he arrived at noon. However, he looked at many historical sites. He expressed his thoughts or highly evaluated “Cheongungyo” and “Baekungyo.” At this point, even though it was a relatively short journey compared to other Gyeongjuyuram-style lyrics, his attitude vas visible enough to record what he felt after seeing as many ruins as possible.
