국문 초록

본 연구는 우디 앨런의 영화 <이레셔널맨 >의 내레이션에 대한 것이다. 내레이션은 영화의 안팎에서 나타날 수 있는데, 이와 같은 내레이션의 활용은 영화의이야기를 자연스럽게도 연결해주고 명확하게도 만들어준다. 그러나 그럼에도 불구하고 내레이션의 활용은 현대 영화에서 줄어들고 있는 추세인데, 본 연구는 영화에서 내레이션을 어떻게 활용할 수 있을지 살펴보고자 한다. 내레이션은 다양하게 세분화되기도 하는데, 그 중에서 내적 독백은 영화의 이미지를 직접적이고 구체적으로 표현한다는 특징이 있다. 인간의 내면을 표현하는방법으로 쇼트의 활용을 적극적으로 활용할 수도 있겠지만, 이미지만으로 구현된이야기는 내적 독백과 구별됨은 자명해 보인다. 그렇다면 그와 같은 모호함을 불식시키는 내레이션의 활용은 영화의 이야기를 어떤 방식으로 풀어갈 수 있을까? <이레셔널맨>에서 내레이션은 에이브의 살인 사건에 대한 이야기를 연결하기도하고, 에이브의 정신세계, 사고 과정을 구체적으로 담아내기도 한다. 이러한 내레이션의 특징을 통해서 <이레셔널맨>의 이야기구조와 도스토옙스키적 텍스트의요구에 대해 파악해본다. 본 연구를 통해 영화에서 내레이션의 활용에 대한 분석과 지평이 확대되는 연구가 이어지길 기대해본다.

영문 초록

This study is about the narration of Woody Allen’s movie . Narration can appear inside and outside the movie, and the use of narration like this naturally connects the story of the movie and makes it clear. However, nevertheless, the use of narration is decreasing in modern movies, and we can analyze how the use of narration in movies can be done. Narration is also subdivided in various ways, among which the inner monologue is characterized by direct and concrete expression of the image of the movie. Although it is possible to actively utilize the use of shot as a way to express the inner human being, it seems obvious that a story embodied only with images is distinguished from an inner monologue. Then, how can the use of narration that eliminate such ambiguity develop the story of the movie? In , the narration explain the story of Abe’s murder, and also conveys Abe’s mental world and thought process in detail. Through these characteristics of the narration, we analyze the story structure of and the demands of Dostoevsky’s text. Through this study, It will be the good opportunity to analyze the use of narration and to expand Woody Allen’s research prospective.
