자립 노숙인의 영성 체험 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자립 노숙인의 자립 성공 경험과 그 과정을 영성적 사회복지 실천의 관점으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재 H 대학교와 수원시 다시서기 센터가 공동 주최한 ‘어깨동무 인문학 과정’을 수료한 후, 자립에 성공한 10명의 노숙인들의 대상으로 심층 면접을 진행하였다. 주요 연구 내용은 노숙인의 자립 성공 경험의 본질이 무엇인지 파악하는 것이며, 연구 방법은 질적 연구 방법 가운데 Giorgi의 기술적 현상학 연구 방법을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 30개의 중심 의미와 9개의 구성 요소를 통해 ‘소명 의식을 갖고 자립에 헌신’, ‘인간애를 바탕으로 상호 인격적 관계 쌓기’, ‘자립에 내재된 장벽’, ‘이타적 가치 보존하기’의 4가지 본질적 주제가 도출되었다. 이를 바탕으로 노숙인의 자립 지원의 방향성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to understand the experiences and processes of the successful independence of the homeless from the perspective of spiritual social work practice. To achieve this objective, this study conducted in-depth interviews with ten homeless people who succeeded in becoming independent after completing the “Shoulder to Shoulder Humanities Course” co-hosted by H University in Gyeonggi-do and the Suwon Stand-up Again Center. The main goal of this study was to identify the essence of the homeless people’s successful independence experience. Giorgi’s descriptive phenomenological method, one of the qualitative methods, was used. The analysis results derived four essential themes from 30 central meanings and 9 components: “commitment to independence with a sense of calling,” “building interpersonal relationships based on humanity,” “barriers inherent in independence,” and “preserving altruistic values”. Based on these themes, this study affirms the value of programs that support the independence of the homeless.
