국문 초록

본 논문은 세시 및 생일 떡에 대한 여성들의 경험과 인식을 조사하여 떡 문화의 지속가능성을 증진하는 방안을 모색하는 데 연구 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 20대 이상 여성들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 시행해 2022년 1월 24일부터 2월 3일까지 자료를 수집하여 총 322부를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 세시 떡은 일상간식>명절/절기>손님접대>식사대용을 위한 용도로 인식이 되고 있었다. 특히 떡과 함께 먹는 음료로 녹차나 커피에 응답한 여성들이 선호하는 떡은 가래떡･인절미･약식･ 절편 등으로 이를 통해 세시 떡의 폭넓은 활용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 생일 떡은 선물/답례>수연>첫돌>부모님생신>아기백일>자녀생일의 순으로 용도가 인식되고 있었다. 대표적으로 백설기･수수경단은 아기 백일과 첫돌, 오색편은 자녀 생일, 인절미는 부모님 생신, 갖은편･오색편･주악은 수연, 갖은편은 선물/답례에서 많은 응답을 보였다. 또한 떡케이크가 다양한 생일의 상황에서 쓰임새를 나타냈다. 셋째, 세시 및 생일 떡에 대한 가치인식은 떡 문화를 문화유산으로 여기고 이를 계승해나가고자 하는 태도 그리고 떡과 관련된 정보를 주변 사람들에게 전달하는 구전행동의도에 직접적으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 떡에 대한 문화계승태도는 가치인식과 구전행동의도 사이를 매개하였다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to sustain Korean tteok (rice cake) culture by examining women s experiences and perceptions of seasonal holiday and birthday tteok. To this end, an online questionnaire surveyed women 20 and older; data were collected from January 24 to February 3, 2022, with a total of 322 submissions. The results are summarized as follows: First, seasonal holiday tteok is consumed, in order of frequency, for daily snacks, seasonal holidays, guest hospitality, and meal replacement. In particular, women who like to drink green tea or coffee prefer to accompany their beverages with tteok variations like Garae-tteok, Injeolmi, Yakshik and Jeolpyun. Second, birthday tteok is used, in order, for gifts/reciprocation, old person’s birthdays, baby’s first birthday, parents birthdays, baby’s 100th day, and child’s other birthdays. Baekseolgi and Susu gyeongdan are used for baby’s 100th day and first birthday; Osaekpyun for child’s other birthdays, Injeolmi for parents’ birthdays; Gajeunpyun, Osaekpyun, and Juak for old person’s birthdays; and Gajeunpyun for gifts/reciprocation. In addition, tteok cake is used in various birthdays. Third, women’s value perception of tteok positively affects their attitude towards accepting and succeeding tteok culture. It also affects their intention to share tteok-related information via word-of-mouth. The attitude towards accepting and succeeding tteok culture mediates the relationship between value perception of tteok and intention to share tteok-related information via word-of-mouth.
