영문 초록

Epistolography includes literature works written in forms of letters or messages, and originated from greek word epistol , which means letter or message. Aristotle mentioned that the letter-style writing helps to writer fully express his individuality. The message novel which is th primary form of writing in epics, is limited in terms of information exchange, but allows reader to see events with the author`s eyes. We can mention epic poems written in this way by Cicero, Horace, Seneka and Plin. In this letters Cicero touched social problems, but Plin wrote about his own daily life.
