국문 초록

개인의 심리적 적응은 대인관계 문제와 관련되므로, 군에서의 맺고 있는 대인관계의 질에 관한 척도를 마련하는 것은 장병들의 군 생활 적응 및 심리적 건강에 관한 연구들을 위해서 무엇보다 필요한 선행과제라 할 것이다. 따라서 병사가 지각하는 부대 내 관계의 질 척도(Relationship Quality Scales in the armed forces for the Military Soldiers; RQS-MS)는 복무 중 군 생활 만족 및 적응과 관련이 있는 병사가 지각하는 부대 내 대인관계의 질을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 작업동맹 및 사회관계망 관련 문헌 및 선행연구 고찰과 군 장병들과의 면담, 그리고 지휘관 자문 등을 토대로 예비문항을 작성하였으며, 표본 1(N=400)과 표본 2(N=269)로부터 각각 자료를 수집하고 분석했다. 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 통해 ‘지휘관-병사 관계의 질 소척도’에서는 ‘유대’, ‘단결’, ‘자율’의 3개 하위요인이, ‘병사-병사 관계의 질 소척도’에서는 ‘유대’과 ‘관계만족’의 2개 하위요인이 추출되고 확인되었다. 신뢰도 분석을 통한 척도의 내적 일치도와 타당도 평가를 통해 각 소척도의 유효성에 대한 검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과 병사가 지각하는 부대 내 관계의 질 척도가 강건한 심리측정적 특성을 보여주며, 군 복무 장병들의 군 생활 적응 및 심리적 건강에 대한 후속 연구에 사용하기에 적합하다는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The Psychological adjustment in the Military is associated with interpersonal issues. A new measure of soldiers’ relationship quality in the armed forces can help their future research for adjustment in the military. Relationship Quality Scales in the armed forces for the Military Soldiers (RQS-MS) was developed to evaluate the interpersonal relationship in the military, which is associated with life satisfaction and adjustment during military service. Initial items were generated based on literature review on work-alliance and social network, interviews with soldiers, and consultation with commanders. For this study, data were collected and analyzed from sample 1(N=400) and sample 2(N=269). 3 domains of ‘bond’, ‘unity’ and ‘autonomy’ were identified for the subscale ‘Commander-Soldier Relationship Scale’ and 2 domains of ‘bond’ and ‘relationship satisfaction’ for the subscale ‘Soldier-Soldier Relationship Scale’ were identified by the explanatory factor analysis and were subsequently confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. A series of validation was performed with the two separate samples, including assessment of internal consistency and validity. Findings from this study indicate that RQS-MS demonstrates adequate psychometric properties and appears well suited for use in further studies related to soldiers’ adjustment and well-being.
