국문 초록

본 연구는 전문건설업 기업의 경쟁력 요인을 분석하고 그 시사점을 찾기 위해 시도되었다. 최근 건설업이 장기간의 침체와 그에 따른 환경변화에 직면해 있기 때문이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구, 전문가조사, 회귀분석 등이 활용되었다. 우선 전문가 설문조사를 통해 기업의 재무적 요인과 비재무적 요인의 중요도를 도출하였다. 재무적 요인에는 안정성과 수익성 지표가 가장 중요한 요인으로 분석되었으며, 비재무적 요인에는 기초자료, 금융 및 관리능력, 영업활동이 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 2012년 전문건설업의 재무 비재무 자료를 이용하여 횡단면자료를 구축하였고, 규모별로 집단을 나누어 회귀분석 하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업은 재무상태의 안정적인 상황이 기본적으로 갖추어져야 수익을 추구할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 안정성을 유지하기 위해서는 부채활용 등을 엄격하게 관리하여 재무건전성을 유지하여야 한다. 둘째, 종속변수인 수익성과 안정성에 영향을 주는 요소는 비재무지표보다 재무지표가 많았다. 셋째, 기업규모가 클수록 분석의 설명력이 높았다. 이는 기업규모가 작을수록 재무 비재무지표보다 경기 및 산업 내 사이클에 더 의존적일 수 있음을 보여준다. 한편, 본 연구는 자료의 제한으로 인해 횡단면 분석만이 이루어졌고, 재무 비재무 변수를 충분히 활용하지 못한 한계점이 있음을 밝혀둔다.

영문 초록

This study has attempted to analyze the competitive factors of companies in the specialty contractor business and to find out their significances considering the fact that the construction business has recently faced with stagnant recession and following environment changes. For the purpose, literacy research, expert survey and regression analysis were utilized. First of all, expert survey was made so as to evaluate importance of financial and non-financial factors of companies. As for financial factors, stability and profitability were analyzed as most important factors while for non-financial factors, basic data, financial and management capacity and sales activities were assessed as important. Based on such outcomes, the cross-sectional data was established by utilizing financial and non-financial data of the specialty contractor business in 2012 and regression analysis was made by group depending on its scale. Major analysis outcomes are as follow; first, companies have high potential for realizing profit basically equipped with stable financial status and to sustain the stability, the financial soundness should be sustained with strict management of liability management; second, factors which influence dependent variables of profitability and stability have greater number of financial index than non-financial ones; third, larger scale of business has greater explanation power for analysis, which implies that smaller business scale might be more reliant on business and industry cycle rather than financial and non-financial factors. Meanwhile, this study has conducted only cross-sectional analysis so that has limitation in not substantially utilizing financial and non-financial factors.
