국문 초록

본 연구는 경찰의 부패요인을 살펴보고 이 부패요인이 경찰의 조직시민행동을 어떻게 저하시키는지, 또 이 과정에서 경찰의 직업정체성의 이 저하효과를 어떻게 완화시켜 주는지 그 조절효과를 검증하는 것이 목적이다. 이에 일반시민 422명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 실증분석을 진행하였다. 실증분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경찰의 부패 요인인 개인적 요인, 조직문화적 요인, 법제도적 요인 모두 경찰의 조직시민행동에 유의적인 부적 영향이 있었다. 또 3가지 요인 중 법제도적 요인의 영향이 가장 컸고, 그 다음으로 조직문화적 요인, 개인적 요인의 순으로 나왔다. 둘째, 경찰의 부패요인과 조직시민행동과의 인과관계에서 직업정체성의 조절효과를 살펴 본 결과 조직문화 요인과 법제도적 요인에서 직업정체성의 정적 유의적인 조절효과가 있었다. 즉 경찰 자신의 직업정체성이 높아지면 경찰의 조직문화적 요인이나 법적 요인이 높아도 조직시민행동이 낮아지지 않는 완화효과가 있는 것으로 나왔다. 따라서 경찰의 조직시민행동을 높이기 위해서는 경찰의 직업정체성을 고양할 수 있는 제도적 개선책과 교육훈련이 시급하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the police s corruption factors and to verify how they degrade the police s organizational citizenship behavior, and how police s occupational identity mitigate degradation of police s organizational citizenship behavior in the process. To do this, a survey of 422 ordinary citizens was conducted for an empirical analysis. The results of the empirical analysis are summarized as follows. First, among personal, organizational and cultural factors, and legal and institutional factors of police’s corruption, all factors had a significant negative effect on the police s organizational citizenship behavior. Among the three factors, legal and institutional factors turned out to be the most influential factor, followed by organizational and cultural factors and personal factors. Second, as a result of examining moderating effect of occupational identity in causal relationship of police’s corruption factors with organizational citizenship behavior, there was a positive significant adjustment effect of occupational identity between organizational culture factors and legal and institutional factors among police’s corruption and organizational citizenship behavior. In other words, the increase in police s own occupational identity has an easing effect that does not lower organizational citizenship behavior even if police s organizational and cultural factors or legal factors are high. Therefore, in order to enhance the police s organizational citizenship behavior, it is urgent to take institutional improvement measures and education and training that can enhance the police s occupational identity.
