製作技法을 中心으로 본 百濟ㆍ加耶의 裝飾大刀

국문 초록

삼국시대 분묘에서 출토된 장식대도는 당시 정치체 중심에서 한정적으로 제작되어 각지 유력 수장들에게위세품으로 배포된 것이며, 그 유통 양상에는 정치적인 의도가 잘 반영된 것으로 생각된다. 가야와 백제에서출토된 장식대도에는 공통점이 많아, 지금까지 백제ㆍ가야간의 깊은 관계가 지적되어 왔으나, 이 두 지역에서출토된 각각의 대도가 구체적으로 어느 지역에서 제작된 것인지에 대해서는 자세히 논의되지 않고 있다. 그래서 본고에서는 환두대도를 중심으로 장식대도들의 계보가 백제와 갸야의 어느 쪽에 있는지를 명확히 구별하기 위하여, 대도에 보이는 제작기법 분석을 통하여 각 대도의 계보 정리를 시도해 보았다. 우선, 환두부 형태를큰 기준으로 한 형식 분류를 통하여, 7군의 대도군을 설정하였다. 다음으로, 이러한 대도군들의 분포상황에서대도의 대략적인 계보를 추정하였다. 그 후, 백제에서 계보를 구할 수 있는 대도의 환두부에 보이는 흔적의 분석으로 백제 특유의 2가지 제작기법을 파악하였다. 대가야 합천 옥전Ｍ3호분에서 출토된 4 점 용봉문환두대도 중에 이러한 백제의 제작기법이 확인되는 자료가 있으므로, 대가야의 대도 제작이 이 시기에 백제로부터기술 전파를 통해 본격적으로 시작된 것으로 생각된다. 그리고 그 유통 범위는, 영산강유역 등 대가야권을 넘어 다른 지역까지 미친 것으로 추측된다. 대가야에서 대도 제작 공방이 확립된 배경으로는 백제 웅진천도 전후의 일시적인 국력 쇠퇴로 인한 금공기술자들의 이동이 하나의 큰 요인으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

Swords with Ornamentation buried tombs of the Samgook era were manufactured restrictively at the center of a community, and were distributed to chiefs of each regions to let them show off their political power. Therefore, it is possible to regard this distributionship that it reflects the ruler’s political intention into its stream. Since there are a lot of similarities between the swords excavated at Baekjae and Gaya, it has been represented in past study that there must have been a close relation between both regions. However there are only few studies where the swords excavated each region were made at concretely. So at this thesis, I tried to identify the genealogy of each sword through manufacturing methods in order to define whether these swords were made in Baekjae or Gaya. First, I classified swords into 7 forms by analysis of ring headed ornament. Next, I believe the genealogy of each sword roughly through their distribution. And then, I figured out 2 unique manufacturing methods of Baekjae by analizing traces revealed on ring heads of the swords, which are considered as possible clues to find out its origin of Baekjae. Since there are some swords made by Baekjae’s manufacturing methods among the dragonphoenix patterned ring headed swords excavated from Okjeon M3 tomb, it is considered that Daegaya started to manufacture sword on full-scale after initiation of skills from Baekjae, and they were distributed to Daegaya area such as basin of Youngsan river, and to the other area as well. The background of the foundation of sword manufactory in Daegaya is believed that it is caused from temporary decline of national power before and after Baekjae’s capital moving to Woongjin.
