영문 초록

Objectives This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture Therapy on the patient who was diagnosed with Piriformis Muscle Syndrome by pelvis MRI. Methods The patient was treated using Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture, Acupuncture, Herbal medication, Physical therapy. And the effects of Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture Therapy have measured in Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Range of Motion(ROM) of L-spine, Hip joint and the change of Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging(DITI). Results NRS has decreased From 80 to 10 and restricted ROM of L-spine has improved. Straight Leg Raise Test(S.L.R.T), Bragard T, Laseque T, Millgram T, Peyton T, Knee Chest Compression Test(KCCT), Patrick T, Ankle Dorsiflexion(ADF), Ankel Plantarflexion(APF) has improved. Hip joint ROM and Physical examination has improved. The change of DITI has showed re-markable results. Conclusions Piriformis muscle syndrom diagnosed by MRI is rare. In this case, we have checked Piriformis muscle hypertrophy. Acurate diagnosis is important for patients. Acupuncture therapy with Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture therapy might be more effective on Piriformis Muscle Syndrome.
