영문 초록

Economic development of a country requires several factors including leader’s positive attitudes to business growth, vitalization of foreign trade, introduction of new technologies, motivating competition, and stabilization of politics and economic environment. Japan succeeded in western type industrialization as the first non-European nation and kept growing to catch up other advanced countries such as Europe and U.S. to be the 2’nd economic power in the world. The purpose of this research is to analyze the economic and social features of the Edo Period for Japan’s development of commerce and industry.
