영문 초록

In the case of the angle fracture, the stability of the miniplate system recommended by Champy et al. Is doubted by many surgeons, especially when immediate postoperative function is desired. We present here a two miniplates fixation technique in which one plate is applied ventrally to the oblique line and a second plate at the inferior border of the mandible. The stability of the 2 miniplates fixation technique was tested in a three-dimensional in vitro model. The results of this study showed that in cases of the angle fractures this fixation technique provide stable fixation under functional load.
