영문 초록

In Korea, the terminology of dental field is well known to common people, but the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which is a part of dental fields is little known to them. Taking these situations into consideration, I made analyses of statics by putting into the form of diagrams bases on questionnaires. The study objects were fibe hundreds of common people over 20yrs old and I used convenience sampling method which is one of nonprobability sampling methods. Statistics are about these questions. 1. How much common people know about the Oral and maxillfoacial Surgery as a treatment field. 2. How much common people know about the detailed portions of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 3. How much common people know about which of treatments and operations are performed in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 4. How common people got to know the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I present actual answers of the common people and suggest what the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon should do.
