영문 초록

We experienced a patient having a lead bullet fragment in the posterior region of left maxillary sinus due to a claymore mine accident. Not only lead bullets make the traumatic injuries to the patients, but also the retained lead in the bodies may evoke the intoxications involving hematologic disorders, neurologic disorders, and kidney function disorders. The removal of the fragments must be recommanded if the extensive surgery does not make the secondary serious complicaitons. It is very difficult that surgeons remove the foreign bodies in the soft tissue because of the difficulty in 3-dimensional localization. C-arm photography is a useful device in 3-dimensional localization. We could easily perform the operation removing a fregment using C-arm Photography. So we report the case with journal review of lead intoxications by the bullets.
