영문 초록

Super High-Rise Apartment (SHR-APT) buildings have been steadily increased in Korea over the decades. It is notable that the difference between traditional living condition and SHR-APT living space resulted from the "housing consciousness" of the residents. There are however lack of researches on housing mobility and residents’ housing consciousness of SHR-APT. In order to investigate the relation between the residents’ housing consciousness and housing mobility, we conducted questionnaire survey focused on residence floor in SHR-APT. The major research findings are as follow. Firstly, the experience in SHR-APT affects residents’ preference floor and housing types such as SHR-APT that will be continuously increasing in the future. Secondly, the analysis of residents’ satisfaction related to preference floor indicates that the boundary floor for the relation between level of floor and satisfaction level is 21th floor. The residents’ satisfaction level differs depend on the age, actual their own living floor, space structure, the type of past housing, and housing values of the resident, etc. Thirdly, the cluster analysis illustrates that two groups of residents’ housing consciousness were divided into: the ‘Group 1’ prefers “urban / apartment / high-rise floor”, whereas the ‘Group 2’ prefers “suburb / detached house /low-rise floor”.
