영문 초록

Objective: Learning the effects of wheelchair posture on center of pressure and lung capacity. Method: Participants were 45 healthy adults. Center of pressure, forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), and FEV1/FVC were measured. Results: FVC and FEV1 were significantly decreased in the order of short lordosis posture, normal posture, and slumped posture. Conclusion: Lung capacity reduced the most with slumped posture, and center of pressure was located towards the back. When educating about wheelchair posture, it will be effective to inform patients about keeping a normal posture or short lordosis posture using lumbar support.
