국문 초록

이 서평 논문은 송원용(2005)의 『국어 어휘부와 단어 형성』(2005)을 비판적으로 검토한 것이다. 이 논문에서는 다음 세 가지를 검토하였다. 첫째는 어휘부와 단어형성부를 분리하여 서술한 점이다. 둘째는 단어 형성 체계를 파생과 합성 이외에 의사파생, 통사론적 원리의 원용, 통사구성의 단어화, 임시어 형성 등을 포함하여 하나의 체계를 세운 점이다. 셋째는 단어 형성 체계에서 공시적 과정으로 임시어를 설정한 점이다. 이에 대한 평으로 어휘부와 단어형성부의 관계가 명시적으로 기술되지 않은 점, 다양한 단어 형성 과정을 하나의 체계 내에서 설명함으로써 발생한 문제점, 임시어를 설정함으로써 예외적으로 공시적 과정을 인정한 점을 들었다.

영문 초록

This book review article critically reviewed "The lexicon of Korean and the word-formation" by Song Won-yong (2005). This article revised the following three matters. First of all, the article reviewed the part where described the lexicon and the word-formation components as separating them. Second, it established the word-formation system including pseudo-derivation, use of syntactic principles, atomization of syntactic phrases, and nonce-word formation besides derivation and compounding. Third, the point that sets the nonce-word with the synchronization process from the word-formation system. The criticisms of the matters were the relationship between the lexicon and the word-formation components were not explicitly written, the problem appeared by describing various word-formation processes within one system, and exceptionally admitting the synchronic process by setting the nonce-word.
