영문 초록

This paper aims to classify Persian reflexives and to see the distribution of the elements. Moreover, we try to explain the Persian reflexive binding under the feature-checking theory of Minimalism. Under this theory, the uninterpretable feature of reflexives should be checked against the corresponding interpretable feature of antecedents. In this way, the uninterpretable feature will be deleted so that the reflexives can be visible in LF, and the binding relation between the antecedent and reflexive is licensed. Persian mono-morphemic reflexive, xod, and the complex form of xod-clitic are all bound by their antecedent in the governing category. Especially, since xod has a feature of subject-orientation, which is uninterpretable, this reflexive is only bound by subject. Moreover, xod-clitic reflexives can be bound by multiple antecedents in the governing category through the multiple feature checking mechanism, and this causes multiple interpretation of the reflexives.
