건청학생과 청각장애학생의 정서지능과 음악정서지각 관계 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 청력 손실로 음악을 듣는 것에 어려움이 있는 청각장애학생들이 성별, 연령, 음악교육유무, 음정지각에 따라 건청학생들과 정서지능과 음악정서지각에 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 이 연구의 대상은 11세부터 18세까지의 학생 총 49명이었으며, 건청학생은 21명이며 청각장애학생은 28명이었다. 연구의 절차는 첫째, 음악배경정보지를 작성하도록 하였다. 둘째, 음정지각 검사를 실시하였다. 셋째, 정서지능 검사를 실시하였다. 넷째, 음악정서지각 검사를 실시하였는데 일주일 간격으로 4회 반복측정하였다. 이 연구에서는 건청학생과 청각장애학생의 정서지능이 차이가 있다(p<.01)는 것을 알 수 있었고, 음악정서지각에 있어서도 차이가 있다(p<.001)는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 청각장애학생의 선천적인 청력손실이 정서지능과 음악정서지각에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 청각장애학생의 정서지능과 음악정서지각을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육 프로그램에 대한 연구가 추후에 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims at examining differences in emotional intelligence between normal hearing students and hearing impaired students hard of listening to music due to the hearing ability loss, and further at finding out emotional intelligence differences depending on gender, age, music education and musical interval perception. It also investigates differences in musical affect perception first between normal hearing students and hearing impaired students, and then, depending on gender, age, music education and musical interval perception. In addition, the study tries to figure out the correlation between emotional intelligence and musical affect perception. Study subjects are 11- to 18-year-old students, forty nine in total, in their fourth to eleventh grade. 21 normal hearing students are randomly selected from those attending schools located in Busan. 28 hearing impaired students are from Y School for Students with Hearing Impairment in Daegu and M School for Students with Hearing Impairment in Ulsan. Among them, 11 students are equipped with hearing aids and 17 with cochlear implants. Hearing impaired students are chosen from those without cognitive deficits or physical disabilities. The research takes the following steps. First, to make the subjects fill in questionnaires of musical background. Second, to perform a musical interval perception test. Third, to carry out an emotional intelligence test. Fourth, conduct four repeated musical affect perception tests in a week. This study reveals the difference in the emotional intelligence of normal hearing students and hearing impaired students, and in the musical affect perception of them, too. These findings show that the congenital hearing ability loss of hearing impaired students has a negative effect on their emotional intelligence and musical affection perception. Thus, further researches on educational programs to improve the emotional intelligence and musical affect perception of hearing impaired students should be conducted in the future.
