영문 초록

English interrogatives have been well-known for their complexitiy. This paper investigates the basic properties of English interrogatives and provides a constraint-based analysis with a constructional perspective. It shows that the mechanism of multiple inheritance hierarchy is especially useful in capturing the sharing properties of English interrogatives among each subconstruction as well as its peculiar properties. Further, this system allows us to eliminate invisible elements in the analysis of English interrogatives.
