영문 초록

At the present time, when the 21st-century has set in, the interchange among the nations all over the world came to be frequent through the medium of PC, and each country's effort to vivify its individuality has been re vitalized. Therefore the project for tourism development as a typi cal effort to locate its country’ s locati on favorably in the world has been noti ced with keen interest , and nati on-wide tourism development leads on to the local tourism developmen t. On the o ther hand , in pr oport ion as our co untry a ttrac ts all kinds of int ern ati on al events , our country also needs to deve lop tou rism cultura l goods, which ensue from the local traditi onal culture development. This study aims at develop ing the Paekche touri sm craf ts goods , goi ng side by side with the project for the Paekche cultura l area development ca rried forwa rd by the natIon . Paekche, the ancient kingdom of Korea, had the history extending over seven hundred yea rs, and more splendid culture than any other kingdom. But most of the Packche relics had become ex tinct by the repeated wars which had waged for the reason Paekche was located along the Han River area, and bordered Kyungki Province on the north and extended southward to Japan. But, we ca n know that the level of Paekchc' s metal crafts was very high from the fact that there had been preserved comparatively many relics of the ages of Kongju (Wungjin) and Puyo (Sa bi) luckil y, and that seve ral met al-rel at ed re lics were di scover ed. Paekche had heen influenced by Kokur yo on the north , and received a variety of cultures through active rel ation with fore ign countries such as China and Japan, and formed a stable polit ical base durin g the ages of Wungjin and Sabi. In this process, Packche' s culture got the characteristics which had both inde pendent and complex aspec ts. And as Paekche' s culture developed , based on the aris toc ra tic and Buddhi st cultures, its cultura l asse ts came to have the splendid form ati ve heauty pecul iar to Paekche in which the brilliance and delicacy of the aristocratic culture were in harmony with the mildness and comfort of Buddhism. For these reasons and for deeper study, this thesis set the scope of the study for deve loping tour ism goods to Kongju and Puyo locally and to metal goods in the case of material. On the other hand, as a result of the analysis of the present condition of tourism crafts goods of Paekche cultural area through the seminars and questionnaires in order to give an outline of tourism crafts goods for the purpose of definin g the concept of cultural goods and to develop the tourism goods more representative of Paekche, we can find out the following problems: I. In the case of design, the reflection of traditional culture is unsatisfactory, and the goods lack varie ty owing to the falling-off in quality. 2. There is no differentiati on in tourism goods among tourism resorts. 3. The environments for goods sale and display is so poor that it lowers tourists' interes t in huying. 4. There is no public relations of goods. The wrapping up has no local characteristics and is not cultiva ted in quality. 5. The relat ion among the production, circulation, market and customers is not effective . To solve these problems and to develop tourism metal craf ts goods with unique design, we groped for the following solutions . I. The development of various designs and the improvement in quality of the goods which express the traditi onal culture of Paekche in a unique way. 2. The proper pricing of tourism goods aiming at customers . 3. The effective and active public relations strategy considering the historicity, locality, and tradition of Paekchc. 4. The reflection of local image in the wrapping up, solidity, handiness, and the pursuit of variety through selective higher grading in quality.
