영문 초록

First, I compared Lee Yongak's early poetry and the works of Gitagawahuyuhikko, Anjaihuyue, Yosidaitseui who are the representative writers of 『Poetry and a theory of poetry』 which is Japanese literary magazine, to examine their influence to each other. Instead of examining the formal aspects of their works, I tried to find out if they have common features or differences on the content. Examining Lee's early poetry based on Gitagawahuyuhikko’s poetic characteristics, I can find important common feature which is his intention to enlarge mannerism and refinement of language through image making process. While Gitagawahuyuhikko’s image presentation focused on mysterious meaning convey and criticising civilization, Lee emphasized on the realistic aspect to lead topic. Second, I would like to see formal aspect considering visual effect which found in Yosidaitseui’s works and prevailed in Japan at that time. Like Yosidaitseui, Lee also emphasized on the visual effects and arranged verse considering them. I think this is one of his attempt based on modernism and formalism which are introduced by himself as new poetic spirit. Finally, he pursued prose poetry. Anjaihuyue introduced prose poetry to suggest topics based on realism. He more focus on realistic aspect than Lee, however, he winded up his poetry moving to fantastic world. The foundation of this characteristic is the mix of prose poetry and surrealism. On the other hand, Lee unified images through sensuous representation and reception of objects. In addition, he emphasized on the prose poetry to cope with conflict reality. But he excluded fantastic atmosphere appeared in Anjaihuyue’s poetry. This is the difference between Anjaihuyue and Lee's prose poetry. Nevertheless, they still shared in common reflecting reality through the form of prose poetry. Such intention of prose poetry starts from the awareness which is to reflect the reality.
