영문 초록

This paper reviews literature on the determinants and structure of subjective well-being. First, it is considered that there are three determinants that can explain subjective well-being. Those are individual circumtances as objective causes of subjective well-being, personality and domain satisfactions as psychological contributory variables, and standards of comparison, adaptation and change as objective predictors. Second, it is also considered that there are five dimensions and three related issues in subjective well -being. Distinction between cognitive and affective dimensions is conceptually useful, but poorly researched. Clear support. however, is available for a distinction between positive and negative affective dimensions. Distinction between inner and outer dimension as well as intensity and frequency of subjective well-being are the time focus of assessment, attempts at cross-classification of dimensions, and the stability of well-being structure. But the structure of well-being is not yet well established.
