영문 초록
This study was performed to investigate the effect of dietary vitamin E supplement and kind of lipid on the lipid metabolism in blood of the rats fed for seven weeks. Supplemented vitamin E was 2500IU or 5000IU/kg diet as α-tocopherol and 15% of unsaturated (corn oil) or saturated(Butter) fat was added.
The results obtained are summarized as follows :
1) The body weight, food consumption and feed efficiency ratio of the 3 group was significantly increased more than that of other groups.
2) The content of total cholesterol in plasma were decreased in the vitamin E plus corn oil group (3 group).
3) The corn oil only supplemented group 1 showed higher plasma HDL-cholesterol content than any others.
4) There were no marked difference in hematocrit level between the control and experimental groups.
5) The liver weight of the 3 group(UF-5000IU vit E) tend to be increased than that of other groups.
6) The total lipid level in liver of the 2,3 groups significantly increased more than that of other groups.
7) The content of total cholesterol in liver were increased in the vitamin E 5,000IU plus corn oil and butter groups.
