국문 초록
Although print forms are still a valuable method to present work, the web publishing can offer more opportunity on the print media field for the future, considering printing publishing has reached the limitation of growth. Thus nowadays the print media industry in the world concentrates and invests on the web publishing.
Web publishing which is based on digital technology and internet development is becoming the stable stage after an early transitional period.
POD has been already used widely and has been instrumental in the progression to the stable stage. In e-book field, Microsoft and Adobe become major company as e-book reader during many company's e-book readers appear and disappear again and again. But the selling of e-book contents has steady increased and development of e-book devises have been continuing. Contents syndication is regarded as good opportunity making another market in publishing sector according to the growing interest in contents itself. It is a good method that creates variable additional value to single content form.
The information chain of print media continues to redefine itself according to advent of web publishing. The web publishing based on digital and internet technology changes the flow of information electronically and shortens distribution channels. Under the web publishing circumstance, the content creator also becomes the publisher and publishes contents by himself. The User enjoys customized information selected by his own will. The information chain of web publishing has been changing dynamically and reconstructing the network of communication diversely.
Web publishing can be a good model for successful and diverse online commerce. Many kinds of online commerce model are developing to apply the web publishing. These models are mail order model, digital products and digital delivery model, free trial model, information barter model, subscription model. This will provide proper business methods for web publishing. The definition of web publishing models for online commerce is an important step in the developing of business models for web publishing.
This paper is somewhat a trial on the point of view that circumstance of web publishing is unstable and variable. But it has a meaning such as it analyzes background of rapid growth of web publishing, it explains paradigm shift on print media, and it presents suitable business model for web publishing.
