국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 역량 중심 교육 실천의 필요성이 강조되는 교육 현장에서 프로젝트 기반 학습이 실제적으로 학생 역량에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 확인하는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구방법: 수준 높은 프로젝트 기반 학습의 구현을 위해 GSPBL의 필수 설계 요소에 따라 중학교 1학년 국어 수업을 설계 운영하여, 프로젝트 기반 학습이 학생에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 연구결과: 프로젝트 기반 학습을 실행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 개인 발달 측면에서 긍정적이고 성찰적인 자기 인식을 강화해 나감을 확인하였다. 둘째, 학습 과정 측면에서는 학습 동기 부여, 지적 도전과 탐구 경험, 학습 결과물의 수준과 만족도를 높이는 데에 긍정적인 영향을 받았다. 셋째, 사회적 상호작용 측면에서 소통과 협력의 가치를 인식하고, 갈등과 문제에 직면하면서 문제해결 과정을 통해 성장하는 모습을 보였다. 결론: 이와 같은 연구 결과는 프로젝트 기반 학습이 지식 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 역동적인 환경에 적응하고 스스로 지식을 탐구하고 활용할 수 있는 역량 중심 교육의 효과적인 교수학습 방법으로써 학생 역량을 성장시킨다는 결론을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the practical impact of project-based learning on student competency in an educational setting where the need for competency-based education practices is emphasized. Methods: To implement high-quality project-based learning, a first-year middle school Korean language class was designed and implemented according to the essential design elements of GSPBL. The study analyzed the impact of project-based learning on students. Results: The results of implementing project-based learning are as follows. First, students demonstrated a strengthened positive and reflective self-awareness in terms of personal development. Second, in terms of the learning process, students experienced positive effects in terms of learning motivation, intellectual challenge and inquiry, and increased satisfaction with learning outcomes. Third, in terms of social interaction, students recognized the value of communication and cooperation, and demonstrated growth through problem-solving processes while confronting conflicts and challenges. Conclusion: These research results suggest that project-based learning is an effective teaching and learning method that fosters student competency development by moving beyond knowledge-based education and fostering competency-based education, enabling students to adapt to dynamic environments and independently explore and utilize knowledge.
