패밀리형 지역캐릭터 활성화 방안 연구: 대전광역시의 ‘꿈씨패밀리’를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 패밀리형 지역캐릭터의 선도적인 역할을 하고 있는 대전광역시 ‘꿈씨패밀리’의 활성화 방안을 모색한 것이다. ‘꿈씨패밀리’는 패밀리형 지역캐릭터의 선진사례가 될 수 있어 그 활동 양상을 살펴보고, 문헌 분석과 대전광역시에서진행한 시민 설문조사, 그리고 서울특별시의 패밀리형 지역캐릭터인 ‘해치와 소울프렌즈’와 비교분석하여 ‘꿈씨패밀리’ 의 개선점을 도출하였다. 연구를 통해 ‘과도한 캐릭터 수’, ‘모호한 주제 의식’, ‘시민과의 관계 형성 부족’이라는 문제점을 도출하였고, 각각의 개선 방안을 모색하였다. 첫째, 과도한 캐릭터 수로 인한 인지 부하를 줄이기 위해 메인 캐릭터인 ‘꿈돌이’에 집중하는전략이 필요하다. 둘째, ‘꿈’을 주제로 한 슬로건과 스토리텔링을 구축하여 지역캐릭터의 방향성을 확립해야 한다. 셋째, 시민과의 관계성 강화를 위한 양방향 소통 콘텐츠를 개발해야 한다. ‘꿈씨패밀리’가 완성도 높은 패밀리형 지역캐릭터로서 기능하여 대전광역시의 지역 활성화에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 다른 지역에서 벤치마킹할 수 있는 대표적인 모델이 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study examines strategies to vitalize the Kkumssi Family, a family-type local character of Daejeon Metropolitan City that holds potential as a leading model in this field. The research analyzed literature, conducted a citizen survey in Daejeon, and carried out a comparative study with Haechi & Soul Friends of Seoul Metropolitan City. The findings revealed three major issues: an excessive number of characters, an unclear thematic identity, and limited engagement with citizens. To address these, the study proposes focusing on the main character Kkumdori to reduce cognitive overload, establishing a slogan and storytelling framework centered on “dreams(Kkum, 꿈),” and developing interactive content to strengthen ties with citizens. It is expected that these measures will enhance the completeness of the Kkumssi Family as a family-type local character, contributing to the vitalization of Daejeon and serving as a benchmark model for other regions.
