국문 초록

Objectives : This paper aims to examine how the acupuncture and moxibustion theories of the Lingshu, combined with the theory of “Liver manages muscles, Kidney manages bones” is applied in treating illness of the Cervical Vertebrae. Theories of meridians and meridian sinew, and treatment methods of the Lingshu were referenced. Methods : Illness in the CV belong to categories of 'bi(痺)' and ‘neck stiffness(項强)’. It is rooted in weak and deficient Liver and Kidneys, manifested in the Taiyang meridian sinew, and is closely related to the Bladder, Small Intestine, Kidney channels and Governor Vessel. In this paper, eight frequently used acupuncture points were selected, and the meridian flow was analyzed. A treatment system in which the Taiyang channel acts as key axis, the Shaoyin channel as fixating the root, and the Governor and Conception vessels as regulators of the hinge qi was suggested. Moreover based on point matching method based on needling methods of the Lingshu and its contents, a spacial threefold point matching method and a functional manifestation/root method were applied. Results & Conclusions : This study verified that the acupuncture treatment method composed of these eight points, which “consider both manifestation and root, regulate both muscle and bone, in which the threefold head, upper extremities, and lower extremities correspond with each other” inherit the core theories of the Lingshu, and holds important theoretical and clinial value in treating CV conditions today.
