‘거짓의 역량’을 활용한 시 창작 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

본고는 ‘거짓의 역량’을 활용하여 진리로 고정된 의미를 유보하는 시 창작 교육 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 시 읽기의 과정에서 ‘이 의미가 제대로 풀릴 수 있을까’라는 불확정성에서 비롯된 긴장은 시인과 독자가 공유하는 고유한 즐거움이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 진리로 고정된 의미 판정을 연기(延期)하는 사유 방식을 교육하기 위하여 들뢰즈의 ‘거짓의 역량’ 이론을 참조하였다. 본고에서 제시한 시 창작 프로그램은 ①‘거짓의 역량’을 통해 시를 이해하기 ②부정적인 사건을 사실적으로 묘사한 줄글1과 동일한 사건을 거짓으로 변형하여 묘사한 줄글2를 작성하기 ③줄글1과 줄글2를 교차 편집함으로써 진실과 거짓을 구분할 수 없는 층위를 창작하기 ④줄글1과 줄글2를 교차 편집한 글을 간결하게 정리하여 시의 형식으로 전환하기 ⑤수업에 대한 평가지를 제출하기 순으로 구성된다. 사례 분석을 통해 확인된 ‘거짓의 역량’을 활용한 시 창작 교육의 효과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시를 전공하지 않은 학습자라 하더라도 거짓을 활용함으로써 표현의 자유를 확대하고 사실과 거짓이 혼재된 새로운 층위를 창작할 수 있다. 둘째, 절대적인 의미 판정을 유보하는 과정을 통해 기존의 통념에서 벗어난 진리를 발견할 수 있으며 사건의 부정성에 대한 근원적 의문을 제기하고 이를 창작물 속에서 사유할 수 있다. 셋째, 이분법적 사고를 벗어나 예기치 못한 전개를 통한 시 창작이 가능하다.

영문 초록

This study proposes a poetry creation pedagogy that utilizes the capacity for falsehood as a means of suspending meanings that are fixed by truth. The tension arising from the uncertainty of “whether this meaning can truly be unfolded” within the process of reading poetry constitutes a unique pleasure shared between poet and reader. Accordingly, this study draws upon Gilles Deleuze’s theory of the capacity for falsehood to cultivate a mode of thinking that postpones definitive judgments of truth. The poetry creation program presented in this study is structured as follows: (1) Understanding poetry through the capacity for falsehood. (2) Writing “Prose 1,” which factually depicts a negative event, and “Prose 2,” which transforms the same event through falsehood. (3) Cross-editing Prose 1 and Prose 2 to generate a textual layer in which truth and falsehood cannot be distinguished. (4) Converting the cross-edited text into a condensed form of poetry. (5) Submitting an evaluation sheet on the class. The effects of poetry creation education through the capacity for falsehood, as confirmed by case analysis, were threefold. First, even learners without a major in literature can expand their expressive freedom by employing falsehood, thereby generating new textual layers where fact and falsehood intermingle. Second, by deferring absolute judgments of meaning, learners may discover truths that deviate from established conventions, raise fundamental questions concerning the negativity of events, and reflect on them in their creative works. Third, by escaping binary modes of thought, learners can create poems through unexpected developments.
