특수교육 연구 동향 분석: 한국연구재단 개인연구군 선정 과제를 중심으로(2008-2024)

국문 초록

연구목적 한국연구재단 개인연구자지원사업에서 선정된 연구 과제의 현재 연구 경향을 알아보고 추후 나아갈연구 방향성을 제시하기 위하여 본 연구는 2008년 「장애인 등에 대한 특수교육법」 이후 지금까지의 특수교육관련 선정 과제들의 연구 동향을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법 본 연구의 연구 대상은 한국연구재단 학술·인문사회사업 개인연구군 중 생애주기별 지원으로 2008 년부터 2024년까지 선정된 연구과제를 대상으로 하였다. 연구 선정 과제 검색은 기초학문자료센터(www.krm.or.kr)에서 학술 연구 분야를 특수교육으로 선택하여 총 145개를 수집하였다. 이중 연구 분야가 특수교육임에도 불구하고 전혀 특수교육 내용을 담고 있지 않는 과제 2개를 제외하여 실제로 분석된 과제는 총 143개이었다. 연구 문제를 답하기 위하여 수집된 143개 과제는 빈도분석(frequency analysis), 내용 분석(content analysis) 방법, 교차분석(cross-tabulation analysis)으로 분석되었다. 연구결과 본 연구는 2008~2024년까지의 한국연구재단 선정 과제의 일반 현황(개인연구 유형, 선정 과제 연도, 과제 기간), 장애 관련 현황(장애 유형, 학교급, 배치유형), 연구 관련 현황(연구 참여자, 연구 방법, 연구 주제)을 분석하여 결과를 얻었다. 결론 본 연구는 포괄적 관점에서 지난 17년간 선정된 특수교육 연구 과제의 전체 동향을 분석했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 논의에서 연구의 제한점과 이를 보완할 수 있는 제언을 같이 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose This study analyzed the trends of research projects selected by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) in order to identify prevailing patterns, propose future research directions, and highlight areas in need of further exploration. Methods The analysis targeted projects funded between 2008 and 2024 under the life cycle– based support category of the Individual Researcher Group within the NRF’s Academic and Humanities/Social Sciences Program. Data were obtained from the Korean Research Memory (www.krm.or.kr) database by selecting “Special Education” as the academic research field, which yielded 145 projects. After excluding two projects unrelated to special education despite their classification, 143 projects were included in the analysis. Frequency analysis, content analysis, and cross-tabulation analysis were employed to address the research questions. Results Findings revealed patterns across general characteristics (i.e., researcher type, year of selection, project duration), disability-related characteristics (i.e., disability category, school level, placement), and research characteristics (i.e., participants, methodologies, topics). Conclusion These results offer a comprehensive overview of NRF-funded special education research trends over the past 17 years. The study’s significance lies in its holistic mapping of research directions since the law’s enactment, and it concludes with practical recommendations for addressing current limitations and guiding future scholarship in the field.
