국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구는 의료기기 의존 중증소아환자에게 시의적절하고 효과적인 발달지원을 제공하기 위해, 이들의 발달에 대한 부모의 인식, 발달지원 과정에서의 경험, 그리고 구체적인 지원 요구를 심층적으로 탐색하고자하였다. 연구방법 연구 참여자는 (1) 자녀가 과거 혹은 현재 의료기기 의존 상태를 경험하였으며, (2) 자녀의 연령이 만2~8세이고, (3) 한국어로 원활한 의사소통이 가능한 중증소아환자의 어머니 12명이었다. 개별 심층면담은 약70분간 진행되었으며, 면담 자료는 전사 후 지속적 비교분석법을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 자료 분석을 통해 4개의 대주제가 도출되었다: (1) 내 자녀의 특별함, (2) 중증소아환자의 특별함에맞춘 발달평가에 대한 요구, (3) 중증소아환자의 특별함에 맞춘 발달지원에 대한 요구, (4) 중증소아환자를 위한 포괄적 발달지원 서비스에 대한 희망 결론 본 연구는 의료기기 의존 중증소아환자의 발달지원을 위한 부모의 경험과 요구를 심층적으로 규명하였으며, 이를 토대로 효과적인 발달지원 방안 등에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose This study aimed to explore parental perceptions of their child’s development, their experiences in the process of developmental support, and their specific support needs in order to provide timely and effective developmental support for technology-dependent children with medical complexity. Method The participants consisted of 12 mothers whose children (1) had experienced technology dependence in the past or were currently dependent on technology and (2) were between 2 and 8 years of age. In addition, (3) the mothers were able to communicate fluently in Korean. Individual in-depth interviews, lasting approximately 70 minutes each, were conducted. The interview data were transcribed and analyzed using the constant comparative method. Results Four major themes emerged from the analysis: (1) the uniqueness of my child, (2) needs for developmental assessment tailored to the uniqueness of CMC, (3) needs for developmental support tailored to the uniqueness of CMC, and (4) hopes for comprehensive developmental support services for CMC. Conclusion This study provides an in-depth understanding of parents’ experiences and needs regarding developmental support for technology-dependent children with medical complexity, and further discusses implications for establishing effective developmental support approaches.
